This is my favorite non-sushi roll at one of my favorite sushi places in SF, Domo.
Tender slices of avocado and asparagus are wrapped in thinly sliced, slightly charred beef strips. The whole thing is incredibly moist and flavorful. Tip: save the pan drippings that they come drenched in and mix it with some rice later for a super tasty side.
The rest of the menu is pretty solid (o hai unagi nigiri), and their specials are often very good.
